Ingredients Required:-
For misal:

  • 1 cup sprouted moth beans (matki)
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 2-3 or green chillies (add more if you like it hot)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons Suhana Ambari Kanda Lasun Masala
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
  • Salt to taste
  • Water, as needed

For garnish:

  • Finely chopped onions
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Sev or farsaan of your choice
  • Lemon wedges

For serving:

  • Pav

For a quick and easy home-made misal pav,

  • Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds, and after a splutter, add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies to the pan. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
  • Add Suhana Ambari Kanda Lasun Masala to the pan. Mix well and sauté for a minute.
  • Add the matki to the pan. Stir well to coat them with the masala.
  • Pour enough water to cover the matki. Add salt to taste. Mix well, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until cooked. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if needed.
  • Once the Misal is cooked, garnish it with finely chopped onions, coriander leaves and sev or farsaan.
  • Serve it hot with pav and lemon wedges.
